- The user enters one handle
- The API fetches the necessary social data (bio, links to other networks, follower counts)
- The form auto-fills within seconds and requires user confirmation
Additionally, they’ve set filters to do lead qualification automatically. Here’s how they’ve divided the users:
- Creators with an existing fan base that post regularly – They didn’t publicly require a follower count to join, but they use the data from the API they know whether a user has an established online following and posting frequency.
For example, if someone singing up has 500K TikTok followers, the system flags as VIP lead and sends Slack notification “High-value creator onboarding – reach out to support”.
- ‘Unqualified’ creators with less than 1000 followers across all socials – They route them to educational resources on building an audience before launching monetization.
The result:
- 15-27% increase in completed signups – The number of signups jumped from 300K to 489K per month (an extra 189K signups every month). In just three months, they had 567K additional signups.
- 75% reduction in the total time needed to complete the profile – It took on average 8-10 minutes (and sometimes more) for creators to set their profile. Using the API, the profile is pre-filled in under 2 minutes.
