As we continue to expand our reach and drive innovation, we’re seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our data-loving team and help us on our quest for automating growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining scalable web applications, working with relational databases, and delivering high-quality solutions. You’ll play a critical role in building and improving backend functionality, ensuring performance, and integrating various services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Django.
- Design and optimize SQL queries for performance and maintainability.
- Integrate and manage Elasticsearch for search functionalities (preferred).
- Collaborate with the frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Write clear, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure high performance.
- Integrate with cloud infrastructure services (AWS) for hosting and scaling backend applications.
- Work with Customer Success teams to design and integrate business logic
Experience
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with Django and SQL development.
- Experience integrating or querying Elasticsearch.
- Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Django and its ecosystem (Django Rest Framework is a must).
- Knowledge of Python principles and data management libraries like Pandas, Numpy etc.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Basic understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Elasticsearch, including creating and optimizing queries.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS, and familiarity with services like EC2, S3, or RDS.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.
